Formed in 2016, the Bramfield to Blythburgh Farm Cluster Group isa farmer-led organisation, with a long term vision for an environmentally focussed collaboration, whilst developing both environmental and economical farm sustainability.
Due to the phasing out of direct payments, the emergence of farm clusters are becoming essential to explore and embrace more sustainable farming practices. Collaborating together we can achieve this, along with the desire to restore the landscape and natural habitats.
Engaging farmers, landowners and the local community with collaboration and regular communication
A great benefit of working collaboratively is a feeling of goodwill towards one’s farming neighbours across the local area.
The Blyth Valley Cluster aims to be inclusive, engaging and to become a valued initiative amongst all it’s members.
The main criteria for joining the Blyth Valley Cluster is that the land must lie within the River Blyth catchment area, stretching from Blythburgh to Laxfield. The cluster will be flexible in broadening its scope to accommodate should a farm lay outside this initial boundary.
